And just like that, it's over . . .

Vacation has reached its end. I have to go to work tomorrow. I'm trying to wrap my brain around all that entails but mostly, once again, I'm stunned by how many things I DIDN'T accomplish. I had THREE weeks!

Ive got this lazy streak that prevents me from fully accomplishing things. I start out working like crazy and then I'm like, oh! coffee! And that next thing you know I'm knee-deep in a binge session on Netflix.

Maybe you are better at this. Maybe you make lists and check off every box and glide through life in a straight line never deviating. Maybe.

Still, I made a ton of gloves;

I only knit in the winter. I don't know why that is, but it is true. And I've got a fairly limited repertoire of things I am capable of making. I'm great at all things square - scarves, blankets, wash cloths and I can make hats, headbands and fingerless gloves. My mother-in-law asked me the other day, "Why don't you make the rest of the fingers?" I explained that it was because I never learned! That's life in a nutshell, isn't it? I got this far and that's it until I learn some more.

Speaking of learning, it is my Momsie's birthday today. She's learned heaps more than me! She's sweet, smart, beautiful and has the BIGGEST green eyes you have ever seen. I'm grateful for her and not just because her cooking is ridiculously good, but for a million reasons including the fact that she loves me when I'm fractious and annoying, and is willing to let me keep learning and keep monving forward.

Love you Momsie!

Stay dry out there!
