This post is a little late. The Husband and I went out to the movies. We saw the new/last X-Men movie because he likes those sorts of things, and it turns they are pretty entertaining. This one was super violent though. Shout out to the Cousins, who kept our Offspring, an hour AFTER the little cousin's birthday party had ended because it turns out the movie was kind of long. We owe them.
Today must have been a tough day because I made coffee for SIX other teachers. I usually just support my neighbor-classroom teacher's caffeine habit, but people kept showing up at the door with an empty coffee cup in their hands. It was pretty funny. My favorite was one of my teacher pals who sent over a cup with a request for 1/4 of a cup of coffee -- apparently she was in need of a tiny pick-me-up. Spring has sprung -- maybe even just temporarily and the kids are FEELING IT. I guess California kids aren't at all prepared for endless days of rain -- they need sunshine to function.
I probably had two cups today -- I drink it all day long, but just a sip here and there. It usually gets cold, and I have to reheat. I give off the appearance of being a chain-coffee drinker, but really it is just the same cup. I might have had two today, my consession to a long week. I'm a little behind in my school work -- so that's looming over me, but it is my own fault. TWICE, I slacked when I should've been working -- so I know what I'm doing tomrrow . . .
On the other hand, I've become pretty obssessed with learning HTML/CSS. I've gotten through a bunch of the lessons, and am stunned by how much I've learned. That Pamela at Khan Academy is a really, really good teacher.
This section right here, I actually coded. I also made some changes to how the rest of the blog looks. I can do that now, and I'm not even that smart. Imagine, how much a SMART person could learn.
Keep in mind that it is after ten at the end of the long week. And still I could do this.
I'm kind of proud of myself and whatnot, but I am sure there are a million things MORE for me to learn. I'm just gonna keep plugging away -- kind of like Wolverine -- without the bloodshed, of course.
