Here's what's happened since last we got together. I flew all night. It is really hard to sleep sitting up - did you know that? I got to San Antonio at 5 this morning - 5 Texas time so thatvis 3 to me.
I got a ride to the convention center and had breakfast at Dennys because it was open and close. There is an interesting collection of humans at Dennys at 5 am. One guy was waiting for his son to show up so he could pay his bill. His server couldn't go home until he did. She was not happy.
The convention has a slow roll out - most classes start in about an hour. I toured the entire convention grounds and my feet already hurt. KSwiss, anyone? Nearly one of the first things I saw was this awesome statue of Ed White. He was one of the original astronauts and everyone who worked with him said he was an amazing guy. He died in the Apollo 1 fire. If he hadnt, everyone agrees, he would've been the first man to walk on the moon.
I walked downtown and toured the Alamo. It was already a billjillion degrees out St 9 am. I walked along the Riverwalk which is beautiful and caught a rivertaxi back to the convention center. It isn't quite 11 am and I feel like it is midnight. I'm waiting for it to be 11:30 because the first playground will open up. Playgrounds are an opportunity to play with some new tech. It was in a playground last year, that I discovered Bloxels which is awesome. You'll have to forgive all typos for the next few days! I'm on portable equipment and little sleep! #excuses # iste17
Keep moving forward,
